First Photo: Everything about the pygmy seahorse is unlikely. It's among the smallest vertebrates known in the animal kingdom. Its size and camouflage are so adapted to its environment, often a single coral, that the species wasn't even discovered until a scientist studying corals in the lab accidentally spotted it.
