The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C.

After opening a successful program at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman beginning in 2005, Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C. agreed to partner exclusively and bring Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment program to Ritz-Carlton hotels around the world. Currently, the program provides educational, outdoor adventures to guests and the local communities of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua and The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.

Initially, the Ambassadors program was focused on the recreational needs of the youngest resort guests, but it was soon clear that the appeal of this program was relevant to guests of all ages. The number of program activities continues to grow but includes such things as mangrove kayaking, underwater photography and videography, rock wall climbing, night snorkeling, and astronomy, and are just as thrilling to group guests as they are for the leisure traveler.

The program at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman continues to be recognized as an innovative, award-winning program. For example it was named "Best Children's Program for 2007" by Virtuoso, the consortium of travel professionals specializing in ultra-luxurious business and leisure destinations.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C. is committed to building future programs and activities that contribute to the protection and preservation of the world's environment, while at the same time offering guests the opportunity to become educated proponents of sustainable living, recognizing the vital importance of helping to make the planet a better place for future generations. Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment will continue to be launched at Ritz-Carlton Hotel locations worldwide.
